The Bulldogs got their first win last week against Essendon while Sydney found their feet after a loss in the derby against GWS.
Sydney have enjoyed a good start to the season while the Dogs have quite frankly looked like lost puppies. Even in their win last week, there were stages that were hard to watch.
The question asked for the Bulldogs was who will kick their goals? No Boyd or Schache means a lack of tall options inside 50 and their rotating full forward just isn’t working. The Bont is good value as always but it’s not enough, and with only averaging 75 points a game, we believe something needs to change down at Whitten Oval!
Moving down to the backline, the next question being asked is who will stop Buddy? It looks like fourth-gamer Aaron Naughton will line up on him in the absence of Cordy, but their backline as a whole doesn’t scream confidence. They’ve conceded more points than any other team in the competition and when you mix that with an in-form Buddy Franklin, it’s a recipe for disaster.
Tip and Best Bets
Unless the Dogs can stop Buddy, they’re not a shot in this one. Under the roof should suit Sydney just as much as it would suit Bulldogs. Back Sydney to win comfortably.
